Thelvia Marín Mederos born Sancti Spiritu, Cuba August 28, 1922 (d. 2016). Cuban sculptress, painter, and poet. Created one of world’s largest peace sculptures “Disarmament, Work and Peace” for UN at University of Peace, Costa Rica, 1987. (photo escambray)
